Bad Weather in All Areas of Saudi Arabia - Civil Defense Medina issued a warning to all citizens of Saudi Arabia to be wary of bad weather that hit a number of regions in the country.
Warnings were called along with weather forecasts issued by the General Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Protection of Saudi Arabia regarding adverse weather conditions in many areas of the Kingdom.
Bad weather conditions have started since Sunday (27/1) and will continue for the next few days.
Yesterday Sunday, a dusty and strong wind enveloped Jeddah. High rainfall and sandstorms also hit the area. This condition has severely limited visibility and forced residents to stay indoors.
Reported in the Saudi Gazette, Monday (28/1), similar conditions also occur in various other Kingdom areas. Light to moderate rain flushed the City of Tabuk and the surrounding area
The General Meteorology and Environmental Protection Authority in its daily report predicts several regions including Tabuk, Al-Jawf, Hail, Medina and the northern border will experience rain and sandstorms.
Strong winds are also expected to trigger sand storms in Mecca, Riyadh and the Eastern Province. The southwestern and western highlands are expected to be partly cloudy.
As for the sea, the estimated south-west-south winds up to 40 km/h will hit the Red Sea at night. While the wind direction changes to north-west in the north.
Bad weather is likely to continue in Makkah, Riyadh, Eastern Province, Qassim and other parts of the Kingdom today. rk
