Related to his freedom, Ahoks attorney, Teguh Samudera said, his client asked elements of society who had been giving support not to pick him up. Because it will only cause congestion, which is detrimental to many people.
"Yes, Pak Ahok asked the supporters not to need to pick up to Mako (Brimob). Because it could harm the community, it made traffic jams, hampered community activities," he said, Wednesday (1/23).
Besides that Ahok asked the legal advisor team not to pick him up either. Ahok, after going from the Mako Brimob Detention House, will take a rest at his house at Pantai Mutiara, Pluit, Penjaringan, North Jakarta.

Chairman of the Ahok Friends Association, Muhammad Fahtoni said, the Ahok support community would not hold a welcoming event for Ahoks release. Fahtoni said, it was done on the basis of the contents of Ahoks letter some time ago asking that there be no welcoming event for him.
"From Pak Ahoks letter, we have said that we should not have a lot of activities or activities, from there we can also think that it means that he does not want to be welcomed or celebrated. So we have not received an event or global reception," he said.
He added, Teman Ahok or who has now changed its name to Million Friends Ahok, will be more focused on the presidential election. So to welcome Ahok freely, he and his community friends will do it digitally.
